Library Construction Committee

Bolton Public Library
Present: Roland, Joel, Chris, Mickie, John, Brent, and Kelly
Absent: Pam, Bill
A quorum being present, Roland called the meeting to order at 7:35 p.m.
The minutes from meetings on April 9 and April 10 were distributed. On a motion from John (second: Joel), the minutes were approved as written. Unanimous in favor.
First item of business was the draft contract with the Owner’s Project Manager (OPM). John Rodenhiser and trustee Bob Zak are assisting Jodi Ross in negotiations with Daedalus, represented by Richard Marks. Before the meeting, all Committee members received the draft via e-mail. General discussion followed. The group made several suggestions for John to take back to the next negotiation session. Joel motioned that the Committee endorse the contract as written and with proposed changes (second: numerous committee members. Unanimous in favor.)
Roland discussed the timetable for acceptance and signing of the contract, noting that the item is on the Board of Selectmen’s agenda for Tuesday, May 15. The Trustees, unable to put together a quorum for that evening meeting, are in the process of scheduling a separate meeting whose only agenda item will be endorsing and signing the contract.
Roland noted that if contract signing goes as planned, the group’s next meeting, scheduled for May 24 at 7:30 p.m., will include Richard Marks of Daedalus as our new OPM.
There being no other business, the meeting adjourned at 9:10 p.m.
